It’s the second week of December and you forgot to get those holiday greeting cards made. That’s okay! I have a quick and easy way you can get those card made.
I’ve used Canva for making social media graphics, blog graphics, and printables. So why not use it to make our holiday cards? Below I will go step by step on how you can create your own holiday cards using the app Canva. You can also use their website to make your cards as well. It’s free to use but some templates and graphics you may have to pay for. If you do have to pay for them, it’s super affordable and well worth it!
What you’ll need:
- A computer, phone, or tablet
- The app Canva or use their website
- A printer
- Photo paper or cardstock (I like to use HP photo paper)
- Scissors or a paper trimmer (I have a Fiskars cutting board)
- Envelopes And stamps
Once you are done creating your greeting card, you will want to save it to your computer, tablet, or phone. Then you would want to get your cards printed. You can bring your file to any place that prints photos or cards at. This can be Walmart, Office Depot, Target, etc. Remember that you would want to get 7 inches by 5 inches printed out since that is the size of the card, unless you’ve changed to size of it.
Or you can print your cards at home using your own printer. This is what I did only because it was convenient for me. You would want to purchase your photo paper or cardstock paper. I used HP everyday photo paper, size 8.5 inches by 11 inches. I get the full sheets because I like to print two on a sheet. But you can get the 5 inch by 7 inch photo paper and that will work too. Below is how I was able to print two on a page using Google Docs app on my iPad.
